THE DIFFICULTIES OF HEALING RESEARCH

I am a healer with a small private practice and see a variety of conditions every week, usually at the stage where medical science can do no more. I have been a practising healer for over twenty years and have wanted so much to work with doctors who have all the records, who can see so clearly if benefit or healing has truly occurred. I fully understand the attitudes of doctors and consultants having myself spent a number of years in the nursing profession, including work in theatre but my own specialised knowledge and abilities, whilst accepted by some, always had to be kept under wraps. Now there is a change in attitudes towards healing in some quarters but fear of the unknown is still deeply rooted in the medical profession. One doesn't want cranks, new age nutters or religious zealots let loose on precious, vulnerable people. But true healers have an ability to alter molecular structure so we are really looking at a form of energy or a use of energy in a very particular way which can bring this about. This does not rely on religious fervour or psychological pressure. Instead it must be allied more to science. The following are three case histories I have been involved with this year, chosen because the conditions are difficult if not to say impossible to treat medically with much success - according to the patient's doctor.

The first is that of a man with chronic back pain, chronic over many years after an accident left his spine damaged. After one session all pain left, after three sessions he felt it unneccesary to return. His age, early fifties.

The second is very different. A premature twin with severe brain damage who was expected to die. I was asked to visit her in hospital when she was six weeks old. I visited her three times and there was an obvious response, physically from the outset. So much so, that she was allowed home two days later. Six months and three brain scans later, there is no sign of brain damage and she is doing wonderfully well.

The third is a case of a young woman with pre cancerous polyps. Lots of them, in her colon and stomach. Massive, radical surgery was the only option given to her by her consultant. She decided to go on a micro diet and come for healing. She was prepared to try anything. As far as she was concerned she had nothing to lose if nothing else worked but she was under a lot of pressure from her doctor and consultant to have the operation quickly. After six months of healing, her stomach scan shows a big improvement in not only the size of the polyps but it actually shows a reduction in numbers. Her scan for the colon will take place in a couple of months. She has seen a remarkable change in her own attitude to life and copes much better with her personal situation which was not good. She looks confident and content even though there is much still to be done.

I was working with a cancer patient, for whom nothing more could be done. After four months we saw the reduction of the mass from 8" to 3". The consultant was amazed and we tried to get the technical details including their initial prognosis, treatment and reactions, to no avail. Letters went unanswered. And this is the case with each doctor approached. No one is willing to say what was and what is, officially. This is a typical reaction from the medical profession in general. What can they be afraid of??

At a recent lecture to health care professionals on the subject of healing, it was put to me that not having scientific evidence was very convenient for us. It isn't convenient. It's diabolical. We have nothing to hide and I'm sure they haven't. We don't preach or promise miracles just a willingness to work with anyone if it will help alleviate suffering but in a constructive way so that those who are clever enough may one day harness this energy as Watts and his colleagues did with electricity, for the good of all mankind.
